California Department of Community Services & Development Programs
The Weatherization Assistance Program and Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program are federally-funded programs administered by the California Department of Community Services & Development. Through these federal programs, local community service organizations throughout California provide no-cost energy upgrades for income-qualified residents to help increase the energy efficiency of their homes, better afford their utility bills and improve living conditions. Eligible low-income households can receive a no-cost energy assessment on their property and certain eligible energy efficiency measures will be installed also at no-cost to the homeowner. The installation of certain non-energy efficiency related improvement measures may also qualify under these programs if they are shown to improve the health and safety of household occupants.
For more information about these programs, find out if you qualify and locate your local service provider, please visit www.csd.ca.gov.
