About the Rebates and Incentives Database
The Home Upgrade program provides information about rebates and incentives that can assist customers with paying for their energy upgrade projects. The goal of Home Upgrade is for this to be a comprehensive list, however it may not include all rebates and incentives in a given area.
The list of rebates and incentives was initially provided by Flex Your Power, which was California's first statewide energy efficiency marketing and outreach campaign. Begun in 2001, Flex Your Power was a partnership of California's utilities, residents, businesses, institutions, government agencies and nonprofit organizations working to save energy. The Flex Your Power database included rebates and incentives from utility companies, water agencies and public and private organizations.
Flex Your Power was superseded by Engage 360, a statewide partnership led by the investor-owned utilities under the direction of the California Public Utilities Commission to help all California residents and businesses save energy, reduce greenhouse gases, and support clean energy solutions. Engage 360 continues to collect information on energy rebates and incentives in California. Through this web portal, Home Upgrade is providing that information to customers, and supplementing it with other rebates and incentives from federal, state, municipal and private sources. However, there may be additional sources available to certain customers which have not been catalogued here.
For each rebate or incentive listed here, please work directly with your contractor or rater or contact the rebate, incentive, and/or service providers directly for detailed qualification and redemption information.
Neither this program, the participating utilities nor any other public or private party associated with the Home Upgrade program, including but not limited to the State of California or the California Energy Commission, The California Public Utilities Commission, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, or San Diego Gas & Electric Company is: (a) endorsing, recommending or referring any specific contractor or rater, (b) making any representation or warranty regarding the qualifications, licensing, products, or workmanship of any contractor or rater, (c) making any warranty regarding the contractor's or rater's work or products purchased from contractors or raters provided, or (d) accepting any liability that may be alleged to arise from the work of any listed contractor or rater on a customer project or from any reliance on any claims, statements or other descriptions regarding a contractor's or rater's certifications, licenses, qualifications or products. Such claims, statements and other descriptions are made solely by the contractor or rater.
