FAQ on Rater Registration for the Energy Upgrade California Web Portal
Q: I am not listed on the Energy Upgrade California website. How do I sign up?
A: Listing on the Energy Upgrade California website is for certified Whole House Raters with CalCERTS (this includes completing the class, field house test, and proper paperwork). Other Whole House Rater certification providers may be provided in the future.
If you are already qualified as a Whole House Rater with CalCERTS but have not received your registration email, please contact raters@EnergyUpgradeCA.org and ask for the registration email to be re‐sent to you. Please note that only one rater per company will receive this email and registration link.
Q: I am already a Participating Rater but I am not listed on the website. What do I do?
A: If you are a participating Whole House Rater with CalCERTS and have completed the appropriate training or registration, please contact raters@EnergyUpgradeCA.org and ask for the registration email to be re‐sent to you.
The registration email will contain instructions for how to register your company on the Energy Upgrade California site. Please note that only one rater per company will receive this email and registration link.
Q: How do I edit or update my company description, email, website, phone number, counties served and/or languages supported?
A: If you would like to update an existing listing on the Energy Upgrade California site please email raters@EnergyUpgradeCA.org.
Q. Who receives the email from the “Email Rater” button?
A: Users may email a company by clicking on the “Email Rater” button within the directory listing. An email will be sent to the address of the rater that was sent the original registration mail. Only one email address can be associated with each directory listing.
Q. How often is the rater list updated?
A: CalCERTS provides Energy Upgrade California with updated rater lists each week by Friday. Each list contains the name and email provided by your company when you completed your certified Whole House Rater application.
The Energy Upgrade California web portal administrator processes these lists as they are received. It then sends an email from rateres@EnergyUpgradeCA.org to your company’s contact email address that was provided to CalCERTS. This email includes instructions for how to register for the Energy Upgrade California site and provide the necessary information for your website listing.
Please note that registration and edits do not appear instantaneously on the site. Revisions will be activated on the site within 1 business day of your changes being made. Registration emails for newly approved raters and reminder emails for those that have not yet registered will be sent once a week on Wednesday from raters@EnergyUpgradeCA.org.
